I've thought of using ACW or French FPW cavalry in kepis with the visor filed down for Turkish regular cavalry in fez, ditto for artillery and Generals, but perhaps a bit fiddly.

I'd be interested in what people's preferred option of Egyptian Infantry would be for representing Turkish Infantry

The Egyptian infantry in the white uniform would be a very good proxie for 1853 Turks. Change the uniform colour from white to blue (I know of gamers who have done this the other way in 15mm to increase the number of Egyptians in their army). The Egyptians in campaign uniform should not be used for 1853 Turks.

I've gone through the list again and made a few changes, added some more possibilities thanks to feedback here and elsewhere. I can't think of anything that would proxy as Russian casualties though, as there are no Prussian casualties which might work. Something to go along with the Prussians in greatcoat for FPW, Peter? ;)

Could the light dragoons have been French chasseurs a cheval?
