Hope it is of some interest. https://rollaone.com/2018/12/03/kirbekan-1885-end-of-the-beginning-part-4/]https://rollaone.com/2018/12/03/kirbekan-1885-end-of-the-beginning-part-4/

Standard User Posts: 162 Stenbock 5th Dec 2018 05:17:11 Glenn, first and big thank you! Hope you are doing well! Now on to the questions. End to the mandess? I hope never. Why I am rebasing the 7YW stuff? I am not totally sure, but struggle to put up a big table without some trouble at the moment and want to have a set of tricorne toy soldiers on 40 by 20mm bases so I can do some reasonbly sized battles on the dining room table. I have hundreds of my GNW stuff on 60 by 30 bases and that is how I prefer them. But, I thought the 7YW stuff would get the cut down in this case, I I only have two small armies of Prussians and Russian. But part of me is already regreeting it all. Hey ho!

Standard User Posts: 404 Glenn Pearce 6th Dec 2018 01:32:40 Yes thank you, I'm doing very well. You know just for the record your painting style is top of the game. It's extremely rare that you can blow up a picture of a 6mm figure and see nothing but painted detail. You also have a fabulous gift for picking colours and matching them in a way that makes the figures just pop out at you. Bravo, well done! I never have a rebasing problem. I've managed to transfer most of my collection over to 60x30 over the last I think 20 years. Yet I still have at least another 5,000 on older styles and shaped bases. I still plan to convert everything to 60x30 but in the never ending intrim I still have a few other options. Funny how a royal pain in the ass operation can work out to have some advantage. Keep up the fight, always look forward to hearing about your projects and seeing your stuff. Best regards, Glenn |
