Recently I asked in another section of this forum whether or not people might be interested in fantasy using 60mm by 30mm bases,because some of the bases might be a bit sparse.  The consensus was to do a bit of landscaping with character units such as mages, heroes and ambushers.  This is what I used for yesterday's game:
