TOPIC: My 6mm Napoleonics |
Standard User Posts: 14 under_score 5th Mar 2022 01:36:07 Hello Baccus forum. This is my first foray into 6mm miniatures. I have a vague goal to create the battle of Jena, so I'll be working on French and Prussian armies. This week I completed my first couple French infantry. I'd love to hear any feedback or suggestions. Thanks. Edit - close up shot. |
Yes, I too had trouble posting pictures. See the thread I started asking how do you post pictures. A little goes a long way |
Administrator Posts: 897 peter 7th Mar 2022 09:33:15 Click in the image icon above (The little square with the dot in the top left corner) and post the URL of the picture there. Works a treat! I have plans. I am dangerous when I have plans... |
Standard User Posts: 14 under_score 7th Mar 2022 02:40:26 I had no trouble getting the pictures to post. Are you guys not seeing the images here? |
Standard User Posts: 110 Leafs87 7th Mar 2022 04:04:43 Hey under_score, We're not seeing the images -- just a grey icon where the pic should be. The above fixes should work, but I've simply been copying and pasting the photos from an online blog where I store all my pics -- so long as a URL exists, C+P should work.

Standard User Posts: 14 under_score 7th Mar 2022 04:26:42 Oh, that is weird. They show up just fine for me, even from a different computer that is not logged in. I posted the images just as Peter mentioned, using the image box and copying the URL of the images. |
Standard User Posts: 14 under_score 7th Mar 2022 04:31:58 Tried changing the links to an imgur upload. Anyone see them now? |
Yes, they are visible now. The figures look really nice on the further back shot, but they are a bit out of focus in the close-up, to get the full glory - the brush work looks neat on those cords though! |
Standard User Posts: 14 under_score 7th Mar 2022 04:57:55 Great, thank you. Nothing wrong with the site here then, that was a privacy issue for the links that I was originally using. Now that those are working, some more detailed pics. In my enthusiasm to get started painting, I failed to notice initially that there were different figures for the grenadiers, so the unit on the right I only used the fusilier troops throughout. Considering that I will typically be looking at them from behind, the red trim on the coats became very important to me as I went on. And just for perspective, this little hill here will eventually be the southern hill from which Lannes began his central attack, as shown on the wall above my table. |
