I’m in the process of building my first 6mm table to go with my kickass baccus crusades dudes. Anyone have any recommendations for semi-arid/desert roads? Thanks in advance.

Yes, try Fat Frank's ebay store. He currently has flexible 6mm/10mm desert roads for a very reasonable price.

Get a sheet of greaseproof paper and a tube of decorators caulk in brown.  Squirt a bead of the caulk in a long line on the sheet of paper.  Flatten it with your moistened finger then scuff up the surface with a suitable impliment (I used a frayed snapped end of a cocktail stick).  You can scatter a bit of fine sand on it at this stage for some added texture.

When it is dry you can peel it off the paper and drybrush it suitable colours.  From a single tube you should be able to make more than enough roads.

The setup is basically just a GW grass mat, caulk roads, felt fields, some single-based trees and more dense forests made from foliage, corrugated cardboard and toothpics.
