A couple of Polemos players have done something similar for their battalion games. They have added two 30x30 bases to a 60x30 battalion for a 120mm frontage. One 30x30 is used as skirmishers/lights and the other as Grenadiers and the 60x30 represents the line companies. For nations that don't generally break out companies they just represent more line companies. It also allows them to show changes of formations. They normally only use the extra bases for small games/battles that only have a couple dozen battalions. Best regards, Glenn |

The advice about double basing is not a post-publication attempt to improve BBB, it is on page 2 of the rulebook: "For convenience of movement, base some figures on double or even triple bases, or create movement trays to accommodate multiple bases for units of various sizes."
