Seminars at the Joy of Six

As is now our custom, we'll be staging two seminars at the JOS15.  Both are open to anyone to attend and we invite and welcome audience participation and interaction, although anyone carrying bags of rotten produce to use as ammunition may be relieved of their burden before entering the room...

New Great War releases

Just in time for the Joy of Six, I am really pleased to be able to let you know that the later war Germans are now available.  These initial releases include Infantry,

The Joy of Six - not just for the wargamers amongst us...

It's all very well doing these toy soldier shows, but look at it from the point of view of the wife/girlfriend/partner/small child dragged along to these events.   Let's face it there's only so many times you can look at a table full of tiny little men and houses before the appeal begins to fade.   On top of that you are getting hot, tired, thirsty and bored.   Normally there is no respite and no hope of something vaguely resembling 'normality'.   Well, in keeping with our ethos, this year, the Joy of Six will be offering something different.

It's the first of July which means that the clock is now officially ticking down for THE wargaming event of the year.

We're fine-tuning the arrangements for the show and will have travel instructions and a floor plan posted on the Joy of Six site.  You can also find more details on the Joy of Six facebook page.

The countdown has started.  Less than a month to go to the annual 6mm extravaganza in Sunny Sheffield!

It's that time of year again!

Yes, the first day of Summer is here, Salute, Triples and Partizan are but fading Spring memories leaving us all waiting until Autumn for our wargaming show fix.  Well, not quite.   As all 6mm affecionados will know all too well, the middle of July actually sees the highlight of the wargaming calendar.   Let's kick off with the curtain raiser:

New Releases for Salute

Just five days to go before the Big Show and things are hotting up.  I've been hinting at some new releases for the show and it's time to give you some advance notice of what they are;

Yes, with April just round the corner, thoughts are now turning to the annual visit to the Excel centre and the company of 5000 or so eager wargamers.  This year, the hobby's flagship event will actually feature some 6mm games including Per Broden's wonderful presentation of Fraustadt.
