There's also the early uniform of the South Carolina  Rifles (Orr's), which, although grey, had plenty of green facings. This lasted until after the Seven Days. Similarly the Texas Lancers sported green facings. Now there's a unit I've never seen modelled.

Hello Andreas and dourpuritan!

I was inspired by a short documentary the night before on Gettysburg. In that their uniforms were all green. I did know that during the war their uniform became more standard issue due to supply. I even had one guy in a round hat. It seems my creative side got surpressed as I changed him out for a cap. I stayed the course and made them all look like their original uniform all green.

After painting Napoleonics for 40 years I was anxious to paint simple generic ACW uniforms. However, at some point in time I will add in some specific units, so many thanks for mentioning those units who were different.

Best regards,

Glenn

Baccus should use your photos for their catalogue. These painted examples are amazing.

Will Peter be waking up to find a horse's head in the bed if he refuses this offer? Seriously though, this is amongst the best 6mm painting I've seen.
