TOPIC: Patrols in the Sudan |
Standard User Posts: 7 Dave 1st May 2017 11:31:33 A fun fact and a tip for PITS. Fun fact: Based as suggested in the rules PITS has a 1:1 figure to man ratio. Pro-Tip: When basing mark pairs of bases with small stones, tufts of foliage, etc. These will allow unobtrusive identification of "half" units.

Standard User Posts: 33 jozistinman 2nd May 2017 02:18:59 These look great!!!! I am shifting all of my 28mm skirmishing to 6mm. I think it works better, especially for something like this. There needs to be a lot of room to maneuver that I just cannot get in 28mm. |
Crikey they really do look good. Did think of the original 15mm, but this looks really good. Now in a quandry - C17th Poles and Turks or Sudan campaign. A little goes a long way |

Standard User Posts: 34 Spiers101 6th Jun 2017 08:28:15 Hi Nick, thanks, i am using 20x20mm for infantry, 20x30 for Cavalry and 30x30 for Artillery. My bases are warbases premier 3mm thick bases, not it seems to everyones taste but as playing pieces i need a base its easy to get hold of to avoid too much wear and tear on the minis themselves! |

Standard User Posts: 34 Spiers101 12th Jan 2019 05:28:51 About 20 months ago I started this project converting Peter Pigs 15mm Sudan skirmish game Patrols in the Sudan into 6mm. Due to a close family bereavement the project Was shelved and sat incomplete This year my resolution is to try to finish the unfinished so I picked up my undercoated Mahdist rifleman, dusted them off and finished them Now i have momentum next up were some Allied Egyptian troops in Summer Dress uniform. Already i have my next units undercoated 96 sword and spear wielding fuzzy wuzzies! |
