Colours and basing are tres magnifique. And your background/terrain just pulls you in. So wonderful. Can't wait for their enemy!

Hi all 3!

#dourpuritan : thanks very much! :-)

#Antioch : Thanks Bob! :-)

You are right... the army of Carthage seems more difficult to paint than that of Rome... so We started with the Romans!

#Leafs87 : thanks beaucoup! ;-)

This background is painted by Our Imperial Concubine like all the others!

Thanks for following Our Blog! :-)

That is a lot of investment for one battle. Do you have plans to re-use the armies for other encounters?

Yes it is David, but We usually choose a battle, a rule to play it, We make the terrain and paint the necessary figures. As We did for the battle of Loigny.

But these ancient figures will be surely use with a other rule for an other battle! ;-)

The Loigny game looked like it was a lot of fun on a nice table(even if it wasn't the mosvrecent game) ...& the background location can't be beat. (Always wanted to visit Samur) As for your ancients I am sure they will get there outing.

I am up to 14 finished bases of Romans & 8 Gauls....and really enjoying the painting.  Looking to visit France again as its been far too long since the last trip... (Many fond memories of great museums & wonderful people & oh  the food????) Sadly living in Vancouver we don't get over there that often.

Bob

I'm looking forward to getting back to re-visiting Vancouver and BC again, Bob. Had some great holidays in that area.

I have about 20 6mm Ancient armies and I try to ensure that they each get at least one outing per year.

These and other ancients posts on the forum are very inspirational. I am going to invest in the Romans v Britons boxed set when I get back from my trip to Utrecht next week.

David if visiting Vancouver these days I recomend spring or fall...these summers & the heat waves are all to bloody hot. We now have several large forest fires on the go....????.  It looks like you get to play a lot of Ancients with 20 armies. Nothing like choice.  Happy to have switched over to 6 mm but haven't dragged all the friends over yet.

dourpuritan: ancients have been a lot of fun to paint. I am sure you will love the box set.....nothing quite like chariots...????????.

Regards all,

Bob
