This week we have mostly been making half tracks!
I’d like to start this week’s update by thanking all of you who visited the stand at Hammerhead and took the time to have a chat and a catch-up. The atmosphere at the show was brilliant and it was so good to see the old Pony Wars game on display again and attracting so many players throughout the day.

The casters have been extra hard at work this week and so we have reached order number 19927. The usual caveat applies in that some order post this number will have gone out, and that some prior will be delayed until next week.

Order updates, new releases and the weekend of a great wargames show – we’ve got a bit of everything this week!
Let’s start with the all-important Magic Number, which this week is #19814. As usual, there will be some orders prior to this which will go out next week, and some after this which will already be on their way. At the moment ee have got a few gremlins in our order system, which means that some orders are not getting the confirmation email when they are placed, or one when they are despatched. Our crack tech-team are working on this even as I type….

Pony Wars - 'The Whole darn Shebang!' - and A SALE!
Quite a bit to get through today, so let’s start with the all important ‘Magic Number’, which this week is order # 19719.

This week’s new releases are small, but very important for any of you putting a Pony Wars collection together in 6mm. We have finally completed the ‘Western’ artillery crew figures, and crucially, added a suitably Hollywood looking Gatling gun to the range. As a result, I am really pleased to be able to announce the release of the ‘US Army’ boxed set. This pack includes all of the extra bits of military personnel and kit needed to complete your Pony Wars setup. As well as the Gatling guns, there are 6pdr and 12pdr artillery, limbers, the fort garrison, two units of US infantry and, very importantly, the ammunition wagons.

A few more new releases.
It’s the end of the week, so it must be some new releases and an updated order total from Baccus!
Let’s the business bit first. As of today, we are at order number #19664. The usual caveats apply, some orders prior to this will be going out next week, and there may be a few sent out in advance of the number. Waiting times from order to despatch is about three weeks and we are working hard to get this further reduced.

Order updates, a new release and Baccus Open Day 2022
Another busy week here at Baccus HQ as we prepare for the first show of the year, Vapnartak in York. Thanks to the sterling efforts of the casting crew, we’ve managed to restock the racks after their ravaging at the final shows of last year. In addition, they have still been churning out customer orders, enabling us to reach order number #19586.
This week’s new release is something a little bit different for us. It is a specially designed gaming mat for the Pony Wars game.

New Napoleonic Prussian Artillery
No magic number this week, as, like everything else in the UK, we will have to wait for the release of Sue Gray’s report for me to be able to make that information available…
However, it’s another week gone by, so another set of new releases. This time we’ve gone for something not flagged up on the end of year report, but no less welcome for all that. In past years we have had a comprehensive overhaul and updating of our major Napoleonic ranges, but for some reason, the Prussians did not get much out of that process. The most obvious feature of that was the artillery, which had to do make do with just one model cannon.

New Pony Wars releases
The third week of the New Year and our third announcement of new releases. If we keep this pace up, we might actually manage to release all of the ranges and products in the end of year forecast! But before we get to all that, there is the small matter of this week’s order update. As of Friday 21st January, we had reached order number #19480.
To put this in context, we are now working on orders placed in the first and second weeks of January meaning that we are now operating with an approximate two week gap between receipt of an order and it being cast. While we are working hard to reduce this gap further this represents a massive improvement over the delays experienced last year. I have to give acknowledgement to our casting team who have really hit their stride in terms of turning orders around.

As we slowly pick things up following the recent holidays I can issue the first magic number of 2022, which is #19409. This is even more a moveable than usual, as it omits a large number of overseas orders from the same batch which will be processed early next week. As ever, if we appear to have missed you by, don’t panic.
Something a little different feature in this week’s new releases. I am delighted to announce that as a complement to our growing range of WW2 models, we now stock the excellent Flight Deck decals. These are beautifully detailed and very high quality and make a far better job of given that ‘finished’ air to your AFVs than even the steadiest of paint brushes.
