It's new release time from Baccus

And the next Baccus Golden Ticket Winner is....

I am very pleased to announce that our newest monthly  Golden Ticket Winner is Callum Wiles.  Refreshingly,  Callum is definitely at the younger end of our customer age range, and now has £60 to spend on more Baccus goodies of his choice.

Winter is coming...

Yes, I know it’s only just turned into Autumn, but if some shops are already stocking huge amounts of Halloween and Christmas products, then I can get in on the act with a suitably themed little range.  However, we first have the usual weekly magic number, which this week stands at #29824.

Sooo…what is this all about?   Well,  some of our customers got together and ganged up on us to put quite a bit of pressure for us do some Napoleonic figures in winter/bad weather dress.

Afrika Korps advancing on Newbury...

Just a quick update this week, a day early.   Friday will see us on the road travelling down to Newbury ahead of the Colours show on the 14th.    This means that there will be no magic number this week, but we will get things back to normal next time around.

A rather special new release...

Before we get on with detailing today’s new releases, it’s time to get down to the regular business of the magic order number, which this week stands at #29705.  As I type this, the Sands of Time have run their course and Lindy’s rash decision to start a sale behind my back, (and, yes, that’s exactly what she did) is now safely behind us.   I think that she only does these things to wind me up…

Meanwhile, I am delighted to be able to announce the first release of the Autumn season, and it’s a rather special one.

Hi there, Lindy here.   Firstly, thank you for all your, lovely get-well messages.  They were all really appreciated. 

I got in to work on Tuesday morning to be met with bins full of little men all needing a home in various corners of the world.   Having got stuck into that lot, I can say that, bar a couple of orders, this week’s magic number is #29644.

As I am going to be in much more as from next week, and I am putting the old misery-guts to work casting from Monday, leaving me in charge,  I thought it would be nice to have a sale.  

YUP I said it…. A SALE. So, from Midnight tonight (30th August) until midnight on the (6th September) 

there will be 10% deducted from all orders.

Something that is definitely a wee bit different...

Hi All, welcome to the Baccus Friday news update.  As is boringly traditional with these things, I will start with the magic order number, which currently stands at #29153.   What is equally boringly traditional is that some orders in advance of this number will actually be on their way, and some prior to it will not have made this week’s cut.   And with all of that out of the way, let’s move to something a wee bit more interesting.

Normality isn’t quite restored, but we really are working on it.

Many thanks to all of you who have sent and indeed continue to send good wishes and support for Lindy.   She is now recuperating at home, and Is simultaneously sore and bored witless.   She will be able to return to work in a few weeks, but until then you are left with me doing the multi-tasking thing.  

I am pleased to announce the return of the weekly magic number.  This week we are up to #29437.    The events of the last couple of weeks have slowed us down, but we are making efforts to catch up as quickly as we are able.

The July Baccus Golden Ticket winner is...

Many, many thanks to all those who have expressed good wishes to Lindy following her recent mishap.  She is now recovering at home, and is fine, if a little sore.  Well, VERY sore actually , but that will get better.

However, let's move on to the main business of this post.  We are really pleased to be able to announce that we have a winner for the Baccus Golden Ticket draw for the month of June.    This time around, the lucky winner is Matthew Rones, a wargamer based in the USA.   Matthew gets £60 of free Baccus goodies to spend how he wants.  In his own words;

I’m looking forward to hopefully showing off some of your fantastic miniatures on the Mark’s Game Room wargaming channel, if I can beat Mark down to the point of being willing to showcase a 30 years war battle haha!

To paraphrase someone or other, ‘it’s been a funny old week’.    As a result, this is a slightly different weekly update.   Firstly, apologies to all concerned, but we’ve not been able to get any mail order out this week.   The reason is that last Saturday, Lindy was admitted to hospital for emergency surgery, and I’ve spent the last few days split between the hospital, looking after our son and occasionally touching base with work.
