It's too quiet out there - just TOO darned quiet...

16th Sep 2019

...and yes, in any halfway decent film the actor uttering those fateful words has approximately 1.5 seconds of employment ahead of him before an arrow buries itself in his chest and he slides off his horse, a lifeless corpse.

Well, it's not quite like that, but we have been very quiet here of late, and will continue to be so for a while to come, and here's why this is the case.

Firstly, and most importantly we all remain exceedingly busy with orders; processing them, casting them, packing them and posting them.  This does not leave much time for idle chit chat.  So, no teasers about new releases or indeed any new releases at all.  They are all currently on hold.

There is however, one Very Big and Unreasonable reason why we are staying quiet, and that is because we are at start of the process of expanding our workshop and facilities here at Baccus HQ.   This is a very demanding and time consuming process as we attempt to keep up with the flow of orders at the same time as completely gutting the admin and manufacturing functions and remodelling them.    We expect to have this complete by the end of October, so there won't be much emerging from us over this period except the odd squeal of pain.

At some stage we will have to close the shopping cart to orders as we will have to shut down completely for a period.   We will keep this as short as possible but it is inevitable.

Why are we doing all of this?   Lots of reasons, but the simple fact is that we have run out of room to store and access new moulds and with the projected expansion of the ranges we needed to rethink the manufacturing side of the operation.   The admin and non-production side of things will be moving out of the workshop proper to a suite of rooms upstairs and the entire workshop rebuilt and reorganised giving us a far more efficient set of casting stations and greatly increased mould storage.

When all the dust has settled I'll get some pictures and maybe a video posted.  In the meantime, please bear with us.
