Let's lighten the mood a bit.

29th Jul 2020

As a break from the endless messages about progress with backlogs and cancelled shows, let's have something a little more upbeat.  As you will probably be aware, one of the major effects of the Covid outbreak has been to stem the flow of new releases.  The cynics amongst you may be muttering, 'No change there, then...', but we actually did have a full slate of new bits and pieces ready to go, but circumstances have worked against us.   Apologies in advance for the quality of the photos.   I've still not had the time to get the photography area and kit installed, so I'm working with a less than satisfactory camera phone.   Normal service on this front will be restored at some stage...

We have actually kept on working on new items behind the scenes, so here are some pictures of ranges and items that we do intend to make available in the later months of 2020.   Working chronologically, we will start off with Feudal Europe where the addition of some extra English, Scots and, pictured here, Welsh will combine with the existing Crusades range to give you options for a good swathe of the twelfth and thirteenth century.

We then jump forward to the nineteenth century where some truely amazing models are being assembled for the Pony Wars project.   Presented here are the brave Hollywood extras assembled to create the 'Hostile' forces and the hardy settlers whose descendants would come to be pillars of the US community.

Moving on to the twentieth century, we have not forgotten nor moved on from new releases for the Great War.  The Serbs pictured here will shortly be added to the catalogue and there are still lots more new codes for this period in the pipeline.

Finally for today. WW2 releases aplenty are in the pipeline and we are already planning well beyond our current focus on North West Europe.  No specifics on new release for this period, but plans are in place for some developments in the next few weeks.

One more bit of good news,  Although our postal costs  to the USA have just had a swingeing price increase, we are keeping our charges to customers across the water at current levels.   We all have enough to worry about without the costs of getting the necessary toys going up as well.

All of us at Baccus wish all the best to our customers (and indeed anyone else reading this).   Stay safe, stay painting and keep rolling the dice.
