The Shopping Cart is due to close shortly

Many thanks to all of you who have placed orders with us since Sunday.  We've done our best, but we will really have to close again to new orders with effect from 10.00am, Thursday 5th November.

It's not something we like doing, but like the python in the cartoon below

we need to put a halt to input and concentrate on output!

Farewell to The Igor

When the faithful Igor comes to you and says, ‘I am not quite feeling mythelf today.’, you know that something is up.  And so it has proved to be.   It is with a great deal of sadness all round that he will be putting his casting ladle down and retiring from his role with us because of continuing health issues.

If you have painted, handled, collected, bought or stashed away any Baccus figures over the last decade and a half, the chances are very likely that they will have been spun, checked and packed by Igor.   His contribution to Baccus behind the scenes over this time has been immense and will be felt for years to come.

With all of this in mind, I hope that you will all join with me in wishing him the very best for the future.  

New Releases

There's only a few days to go before we reopen the Baccus shopping cart, and when it does, we have lots of new goodies on offer.   Here is the comprehensive list of the new codes:

GOOD NEWS...

We have just put the final batch of orders on the casting desk for next week.

This means that we will be looking to open the cart at 10am on Sunday 1st November.  How long it stays open for will depend on how nicely you play and whether you break it again ;-)

The end is nigh...

Another busy week here and we've hauled ourselves up to order number 14890. A couple of you with order numbers prior to this may not have recieved confirmation of posting emails - this is a technical hitch and you will get them on Monday. The end is in sight.

With view to that, here are some more previews of some of the new releases you can expect when the gates are flung open once more. There are some mounted and dismounted braves to face off against the US cavalry previously featured.

To those of you with a more mechanical bent, we've got loads of Second World War bits and pieces.

Yes, another update...

It's update time. We've pushed on to order 14831. My tenuous grasp on maths suggests that we shifted another 49 little packages this week, which means we are on course for opening to new orders in a couple of weeks time.

As has become the habit of late, I am going to preview some of the new releases which will become available at this time. For more details, have a look at the Baccus catalogue . These are all listed there, and more will be added soon.

Another update

The end of the week, and time for the update on orders. I will shortly by popping order number 14782 in to the post office. The order pile is being whittled down steadily, and by the time we reopen the cart, I hope to have extra casting capacity on hand, so that we can try and get things running more smoothly.

Weekly update and a quick preview.

First, the business bit.  We've just packed order 14731 off to the clutches of the postal service.  It's not as many orders shifted as last week, but in fact we cast more metal - three very large orders ate up a lot of casting time this week.  As ever, thanks for your patience and we are moving through the pile very steadily indeed.

Another week bites the dust...

We have stayed behind tonight to finish the third pile of orders. That is 65 orders this week, and not small ones either!

We will be back in on Monday morning, with 2 casters,and the work begins AGAIN.

Would you like to work for Baccus 6mm?

We have a vacancy for a full-time caster.   The individual will be an important member of our production time, working a spin casting machine producing figures and models from our ranges.   We are looking for an individual with good numerical and literacy skills, who can work as part of a small but enthusiastic team.    An ability to work unsupervised is essential.  Previous experience with casting would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given.
